1) "Quick Peach Cobbler"
First Attempt: I actually really, really liked this. Although when I made it I accidentally mixed together the fruit and batter, I think it came out pretty well. It was extremely fast when I needed something to do with my canned peaches! I'll definitely make this again and have in fact used the batter recipe for a few other experiments! Lovely recipe.
1) "Strawberry Pie II"
First Attempt: Turned out pretty well, although I also made my own pie crust (I made this one) which didn't turn out ideally. The strawberry filling of the pie was delicious, however! I was tempted to eat the strawberry/water/sugar mixture while it was cooking on the stove because it smelled so good. I'll definitely pull this recipe out when I have an excess of strawberries and enough foresight to prepare or buy pie crust beforehand!
1) "Strawberry Cobbler I"
First Attempt: The first time I tried this recipe, it was admittedly a bit of a disaster. I had accidentally forgotten the cream (I actually misread it as whipping cream and though it would be used for a decorator after-the-fact), so had to hastily make do with some milk-butter concotion recommended to me by Yahoo Answers. It didn't turn out too well, although I might not be as big a fan of baked strawberries as I thought. The final product was extremely watery, which might be attributed to me not letting the water/constarch/sugar turn syrupy enough on the stove before adding the strawberries. I made this recipe because my strawberries were getting old and I didn't want to go through the hassle of making pie crust for strawberry pie!
Second Attempt: The second time I made this, it turned out a bit better, although it was still extremely watery. I thought I let it cook for long enough on the stove, but I guess not. The final product is very, very sweet and could probably use half as much sugar for an easier to handle dessert. Again, I didn't want to make any pie crust so this recipe was what I turned to. I'll probably use it again sometime, but only because I am too lazy to prepare pie crust the night before.
